"The Ocean Song" by James & Riss. © 2007 Most of the songs I write start out as a riff or chord progression on the guitar. As I play, I hear melodies and vocalize them using vowels, and consonants which compliment and punctuate what I am playing on the guitar. Many of the vocalizations aren't words because even though I have not yet arrived upon the literary content of the song I have found the sounds that work well with the guitar parts. While playing this song for my friend Rissey, she contributed some lyrics that were unresolved. Since this video I have posted another video of this song as performed by Jun626, Phraze and Myself (JFJ).
