This is my first impression of the product. The item has a leather smell, mixed with that akin to shoe polish, is thin, with some indentations and perhaps a light scratch in the skin. The body between pieces of leather appears to be thin cardboard. The leather stitching appears to be of a solid thread, although where the stitching is discontinued where the folds in the wallet are, one is puckered due to a stitching defect. The zipper inside of the wallet, on the left side, is hesitant. The snap to close the wallet feels small, but secure. The key rings themselves seem to be of a solid gauge. The secret to using them is to know that they are really clips, which rotate on a hinge, at the top of the clip. One must press inward upon the opposite, non-hinge part of the clip, and then bring the clip downward and rearward, attach the key, and then close the clip by returning it to its original position by motioning the clip upward.
Edit: One of the key links popped out of a link a few days ago, was able to worm it back in. Today, a key loop stud popped out of the metal backing, was able to reinsert it by mechanically prying apart the spacing between the key links, which also severely damaged one of the two studs retaining the metal backing to the leather wallet. Amazon.com won't let me update the stars, but now I'd give it 1 star at most.
